This is a disturbing but important story of a fatal case of child abuse. It is the case of baby Briana Lopez, who was abused from birth by both parents and other family members. We as a nation must make cases like these nonexistent. This story has strengthened my desire to work in the social service field. The reporter is Kim Vallez, and the copyright is by KRQE news 13, www.krqe.com UPDATE: The mother of baby Brianna, Stephanie Lopez, was found not guilty on the charge of intentional child abuse resulting in death. She was convicted of child abuse resulting in death and child abuse negligent permit. She was found innocent of intentional child abuse, because she did not inflict the abuse but allowed it to happen. Brianna’s father, 22-year-old Andy Walters, was convicted of child abuse resulting in death, conspiracy, criminal sexual penetration and two counts of child abuse. Uncle Steven Lopez was found guilty of child abuse resulting in death, conspiracy and criminal sexual penetration. Paternal grandmother Patricia Walters and uncle Robert Walters were found guilty of failure to report child abuse. Sentencing… Susana Martinez asked for the maximum punishment possible for all of them. Sadly, their sentences do not fit their crimes. It took a jury of seven men and five women nine hours to find all of them guilty. Lock them in a cell covered with pictures of Briana. No window, no human contact Maybe for a food ration. only the floor to shit on. No sanitary pads for the mother. No showers. etc. But then wanting so much pain on these people puts us on their level. But they have done something that is deemed not worthy to be a part of our society. Briana will not be forgotten thats for sure. Now she is in peace and never to hurt again. xox

If raping has gone so far to doing it to a little baby, then our world has gone straight to shit already. People these days. I’m glad people commenting on this video would probably agree with me. I’d say the best penalty for rapists, is castrating them. If you think I’m joking, I’m not. Sometimes extreme punishment prevents extreme crimes such as this.

In prison they dont care if you killed your wife but fuck with a child YOU wont be able to walk freely in General Population! They deserve far worse than what they got and believe me once the inmates find out what they are there for its on..they will be praying for death, i hope that precious baby haunts their nightmares, some people would pay hundreds of thousands of dollars just to have one kid and these fuckin monsters were blessed to have this beautiful baby! I know at times I have been on the brink of insanity, even down right crazy, but I NEVER!!!!! This is so disturbing, yet real and prevelent in this day and age. Our children cannot speak up and out. We need to pull together, and even look out for our neigboors children. God needs angels, but not the little ones! Her life, and so many others, cut short, form people who dont deserve to live as long as they have. May they truley ROT IN HELL! Rest lil bay Brianna….and all the other lil angels.
